My background is in theoretical mathematics and experimental solid state physics. However, I have been working within Tele- and Datacommunications for more than 10 years. During this time I have worked on all aspects of TCP/IP communications for consumer, professional and industrial products.
I have worked on many different aspects of business including system and network architectures, international collaboration, strategic marketing, standards work (IEEE, IETF and IEC), consultancy, business development, and have held several management roles.

I am a senior member of the IEEE and the author of RFC4541 on IGMP snooping switches. Currently I am involved in standards work within IEC. I am also in the evaluation panel for the Galileo Masters competition.
