Berlingske Tidende is the oldest newspaper in the world that still lives! Founded in 1749 by Ernst Henrich Berling, still in existence; with a circulation of about 125,000 copies on weekdays, it is also one of the "big three" broadsheet-quality newspapers in Denmark. In 2006 Berlingske Tidende, along with the rest of Berlingske Officin and Orkla Media, was sold to the British investment group Mecom Group.
Peter Hartung works as a freelance journalist and editor of the weekly section, Berlingske Tidende BusinessEjendomme. Here you can read all about the Danish and the international real estate markets, news about investment and architecture. Peter has written the complete section since 2002 - it publishes with the newspaper every wednesday.
Latest: After more than six years Berlingske Tidende has decided not to prolong the freelance contract with Peter Hartung at the end of 2008. This will allow Peter to work for other companies and media in the real estate and construction world.

During my almost 13 years employed at Danish news agency Den Liberale Presse (Liberal Press), I was working for up to 21 Danish regional daily newspapers. My position was leading news journalist and reporter, and I was for more than 12 years a member of the press club at the parliament (Folketingets Presseloge), and covered a variety of areas - politics, economy, finance, business, agriculture, popular music and rock, litterature, comics and culture. I was a member of the company's board for several years, chosen by my colleagues.
