First and foremost, I am a specialist in the Java Enterprise platform, due to Java being my main platform for most of my development years. That said, I have experience in many other languages and platforms, including but not limited to dynamic languages like Ruby and Perl but also systems programming in C/C++ and even a bit of web development in the .Net platform using C#.
Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure to work on many different operating systems from various unix-like systems including Linux, Solaris and AIX to Windows.
I like working in small, effective teams, where all take responsibility for the end-goal of the project. I am experienced in following agile processes using XP and know about other processes like Scrum and Cystal.
My current interest is within dynamic languages and highly productive environments like the Rails framework on the Ruby platform, but I am also looking for alternatives to the current way of doing web development - an example being continuation based servers.
- Agile development methods and techniques
- Enterprise Java (JEE), such as EJBs, web frameworks, ...
- Lightweight architectures using spring/hibernate
- Experienced Tapestry, spring, hibernate user
- Flash RIA applications using the Flex framework from Adobe
