Over the next three days, UNICEF Supply is hosting the annual Vaccine Industry Consultation (VIC) at the UNICEF Global Supply Hub in Copenhagen. This year’s consultation brings together vaccine industry representatives and global immunization partners to discuss key vaccine market updates, the immunization landscape and realities in a changing global geopolitical landscape and a resource-constrained environment. These discussion are crucial to effective planning and the sustained availability of life-saving vaccines for children. At UNICEF, we believe every child has the right to grow up healthy and have access to vaccines. By working with our partners in the vaccine industry, we are better able to deliver vaccines for preventive campaigns, outbreak responses and emergencies. Thereby protecting children from vaccine-preventable diseases. From UNICEF global supply hubs across the world, we deliver life-saving supplies #ForEveryChild
Om os
In 2024, UNICEF sourced, procured and delivered over $5.610 billion in supplies and services that are crucial in fulfilling child rights. The UNICEF global supply hubs in Copenhagen and across the world procures affordable life-saving supplies and services available in the right quantity and of the right quality, wherever children are in need. Supporting UNICEF’s ongoing programmatic activities, the hubs also provides rapid supply response to emergencies. Strategies to achieve results for children focus on influencing global markets for supplies, product innovation and supply chain strengthening. Cross-cutting strategies in monitoring, evaluation, partnerships with health and development organizations, governments and the private sector, and establishing learning opportunities for staff are also critical areas that enable Supply Division’s work.

UNICEF welcomes a change in UN Model Regulation to enable bulk packaging of insecticide-treated bed nets. Working together, UNICEF and World Health Organization, with support from The Global Fund, led the effort for this change. It removes regulatory barriers and paves the way for lower product and delivery costs, while significantly reducing plastic waste in packaging — saving thousands of tons annually and safeguarding essential financial resources. This regulatory change demonstrates how technical policy work can drive sustainability and impact at scale, leading to more efficient and greener delivery of essential supplies #ForEveryChild.

A powerful 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan on 31 August, leaving children and families in urgent need of life-saving support. Today, the first of two flights carrying a total of 130 tons of emergency supplies arrived in Kabul, with the second expected tomorrow. Fully funded by European Commission (DG ECHO), the shipments include tents, medical supplies, clothing, hygiene kits, and safe water equipment — all delivered on two EU-funded humanitarian charter flights. This critical support enables UNICEF and partners to rapidly scale up emergency response, reaching families in Kunar, Nangarhar and neighbouring affected provinces with shelter, safe water, medical assistance and winter protection. Thanks to the European Union for their solidarity and swift action in this urgent response. #UNICEF #ForEveryChild UNICEF Gulf

The powerful earthquake that hit eastern Afghanistan on Sunday has had a devastating effect on children and families, many of whom have lost homes and loved ones. In addition to the supplies already mobilized in Afghanistan, UNICEF, with the vital support of the European Union, is urgently airlifting 130 tons of emergency supplies from the UNICEF global supply hub in Copenhagen and from its satellite hub in Dubai. We are delivering medicines and medical equipment, including for safe birth, as well as safe drinking water, sanitation, and female hygiene supplies, to meet the immediate needs of children and families in the earthquake zone. These shipments also include tents for establishing child-friendly spaces for children suffering from trauma, along with blankets and warm clothes to help children withstand the elements as cold nights set in. #ForEveryChild

UNICEF’s Sospeter Baitwa brings us behind the scenes to show what it takes to deliver lifesaving supplies to children and families in #Gaza. With famine confirmed — and widespread starvation, destitution and preventable deaths mounting — there is no time to lose. Without an immediate ceasefire and full humanitarian access, famine will spread and more children will die. UNICEF and partners remain on the ground, working under extraordinary constraints to reach children with the support they need.

Delivering vaccines in an active war zone is one of the most complex challenges in humanitarian logistics. In a new documentary, a team of humanitarians including UNICEF health worker Dr. Younis and field coordinator Fairuz embarks on a mission to vaccinate 600,000 children against polio, an urgent campaign made necessary by the destruction of over 80% of Gaza's health, water and sanitation infrastructure.
